Why do a couple of Texas oil billionaires can whether I am elected?

Another attack mailing paid for by Karl Rove's Americans for Prosperity [or prosperity for some of us] has arrived-filled with misrepresentations and distortions.

Locally both Dick Snow and I have been attacked by the Koch Brothers funded organization, as well as a Libertarian funded group. Think they might be trying to buy legislatures throughout the country? ALEC sponsored bills dominated the NH legislature for the past two years. Some of these national agenda bills have already been re-introduced in NH for the coming session.

• Establishing a New Hampshire army by Rep. Daniel Itse (R)
• Requiring citations referencing the Magna Carta in all new bills and allowing the legislature to appoint US Senators by Robert Kingsbury (R) This is the same Representative who, last term, brought forward a bill to mandate that judges give a domestic violence victim a gun, shells and shooting lessons.
• Requiring random drug testing of all food stamp recipients by Donald LeBrun (R). This bill failed in the past and would cost over $1,000,000 to fund, thus increasing the cost of the program. In Florida when this bill passed they found the food stamp recipients had a drug us rate half that of the general population.
• Barring parents of minor children from using irreconcilable differences to divorce by Gary Hopper (R). This would force parents to battle it out in court even if they did not wish to do so. And of course the marital masters program has been defunded.
• Abolishing the Department of Education by Charles Sova (R).
